I bought this back in march and have made installing this thing a personal challenge, but now I have wasted so much of my time that I am disgusted with it and ready to shout it from every roof top. I emailed support 2 weeks ago and NOTHING.... I have changed chmod to every possible recommended setting, all proper file permissions and nothing. This is seriously the worst install I have ever encountered in my life and honestly I could have manually updated my stores with hundreds of new products in the time I have wasted trying to install this Easy Populate. I am not a complete idiot but trying to install easy populate makes me feel like I am. Sad

Hi, was having the same problem as everybody else with this uploads directory thing, but the knowledge base article noted on page 1 held the answer.

In particular
Be sure to include the complete path, which can at times be confusing, in particular if you are using virtual hosting. If unsure what the actual path is, as a guide check the value for DIR_FS_CATALOG in your Zen Cart configuration in /admin/includes/configure.php.

I also added the "uploads" at the end of the directory and finally it worked! Pulling my hair out over this! the "username" part of the path is not a generic term but a reference to a path you need. Your store will have it as shown below. I hope the posty below helps many others like it helped me! Thought I'd share...

I did this and reading through the php in a simple text editor revealed the correct path was
/kunden/homepages/26/..example../..example../uploads.

Where i have replaced the actual path with ..example...

There was no way I could have guessed this, and like everybody else was getting annoyed. So for all 1and1 people out there having a problem try this. Now I just have to work out how the program works. But in five mins had exported the dummy initial site.

It took me more effort to actually log in to this forum!!! Could the organisers please say that the forum nickname is the login used and not the email address and password which were sent to me to be able to read this in the first place
